Costumes were true to budget but it's not what you would call money well spent since you only see them for a fraction of the time

I am sure a lot of these reviews written for promotion. This video and is lame, it does not follow the gladiator storyline, the actors look bored and the sex the same. Save your money and date a real person.

This movie is a great one to watch as a couple, it has a great story line and is more like a classy movie with sex than the usual smutty style 'porno'. Great one for all the girls to watch as they will love the story instead of the usual humpita, humpita, the whole way through the movie. This is the best adult movie I have ever seen, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. At last someone is putting some class into adult movies. I have genuinely given this movie the highest mark I could as it is that good and it is truly a breath of fresh air.

I found this DVD really good for couples and the storyline at least made sense through the whole DVD.

Much of this sex in the film is smouldering. Realising the Roman theme to its full potential, Gladiator is filled with great looking group sex and orgy scenes. I am a big fan of orgy scenes and in this regard, Gladiator really delivers. Rita Faltoyano is one of the hottest women in porn and it is worth getting this DVD solely to see her in action. However, the dialogue and storyline that go between the scenes in this movie add nothing to the film. While some scripted movies allow for some intensity and passion to be added to the action, these scenes actually undermine the potential intensity of the sex. Watching someone like Tera Patrick in Forbidden Tales highlights how it is possible to create real sexual energy in porn. That energy is absent from The Private Gladiator. I would almost prefer to watch a vignette movie of great individual scenes than be distracted by bad dubbing that disrupt the sexual flow of the film. Many Private movies are a real contradiction - beautiful woman, lavish sets yet laughable dialogue and dubbing and often very mechanical sex. Private Gladiator is no different. There is no doubt that the Private cast some of the most beautiful woman in porn, but they are often let down by trying too hard to create something "big budget". The end result is a storyline that distracts, rather than adds to the heat of the film. Rather than spend money on breastplates, togas and statues, it would be better to invest in a talented set of voice over artists and a better script. I buy porn for my wife and I to enjoy together. This is still great couples fare as the actors are hot and there is no silicone in site.
